New Honda City with updated exterior, safety equipment and features
The new Honda City has launched in Malaysia with an updated exterior, additional safety equipment and upgraded interior features. The spec line-up has also been updated with the S variant no longer offered. The E variant is now the entry-level model, starting from RM89,900 with the hybrid RS variant at the top-of-the-range at RM111,900.

Unchanged is the powertrain of a 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 121 PS and 145 of torque in the petrol variants with a CVT gearbox. Meanwhile the e:HEV RS has up to 253Nm of torque from the combined output of the petrol engine and electric motor.
The Honda Sensing suite of safety equipment gets additional new features Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Monitoring which incorporates Blind Spot Detection and Lane Change Assist. The system alerts drivers to vehicles detected in adjacent lanes, while Cross Traffic Monitoring detects approaching vehicles when reversing. Honda Sensing and Honda LaneWatch are in all variants. The RS and e: HEV also get a new 360°Multi-View Camera System.
There is now a redesigned front grille. All variants get the new bi-LED headlights as standard while RS variants also get additional new long light bar headlights. There are also new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
Inside, there is new ambient lighting, new footlight and door pocket illumination and a larger new 10-inch infotainment monitor. The e:HEV RS also gets a wireless charger in the update.

The New City is available in four colours:
- Platinum White Pearl
- Meteoroid Gray Metallic
- Stellar Diamond Pearl, available for petrol variants only
- Blazing Red Pearl, a new colour for the New City

The programme offers exclusive benefits to the first 2,400 eligible customers, including new and existing Honda customers, upgraders and government servants.
In addition, there is now an extended warranty of up to 8 years with unlimited mileage#* for all newly purchased Honda petrol and hybrid models, including the New City, effective from 1 September 2026.
