Perodua brightens up Selayang Hospital children’s ward

Perodua visits paediatric ward to donate medical equipment and a helping hand

Staff of Malaysian automotive manufacturer, Perodua recently visited the children’s ward at Selayang Hospital as part of the company’s Corporate Responsibility initiative. The volunteers delivered medical equipment and distributed gifts to patients and staff. They also gave the children’s play area a make over, cleaning it, painting cabinets, installing new flooring and a new smart TV. They also replaced the wall paper and brought new books and toys.

Perodua contributed a pulse oximeter (oxygen measurement device) and three portable screens, as well as distributed money packets and gift bags containing stationery to around 100 child patients.

This is Perodua’s second visit to Selayang’s paediatric ward this year. In February, staff delivered three pulse oximeters and six portable screens, as well as distributed money packets and gift bags to patients and staff.

Future activities planned by Perodua for Selayang Hospital children’s ward include story-telling, movie screenings, puzzle games and origami. Perodua is also looking at doing a book donation drive to acquire more books for the play area’s library.
