This is the preview of the Proton e.Mas 5 which will launch later this year. The electric hatchback will be the second EV from Proton after the e.Mas 7 SUV which launched in 2024.

Ahead of the launch, the e.Mas 5 will undertake the MISI 5 Tour, a series of previews at selected popular tourist spots and Proton e.MAS dealerships across the 13 states. Members of the public will be able to engage with the Proton e.MAS 5 firsthand.

The GWM Tank 500 HEV will be launched at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025, 9-15 May, MAEPS at Serdang. See what the GWM Tank 500 HEV has to offer ahead of the launch. Order books have opened for the SUV which is estimated will be around RM350,000.
The Tank 500 HEV is a non-plugin hybrid. Highlights of features include Intelligent All-terrain system, 11 driving modes, as well as TANK Turn mode. In TANK Turn mode, the inside rear wheel is locked so that the vehicle pivots rather than turns in a normal arc, enabling a tighter turn and significantly smaller turning circle. The MGS5 will be launched later this year at an estimated price of RM115,000, before registration and insurance.

This is a preview of the MGS5, 430km range variant. Two WLTP range variants will be offered, 340km (49kWh battery) and 430km (62.2kWh battery). The 125kW motor delivers 168bhp and 250Nm of torque. AC charging is 6.6kW. The 150kW DC fast charging enables battery recharging from 10% to 80% in around 30 minutes. Both variants are rear-wheel drive (RWD).
