What’s new? Distinctive LED headlights and under-the-radar chassis modifications
The facelifted, 2018 model-year BMW M3 can be discussed in two ways. Firstly, there are the upgrades about which BMW is keen to talk, such as the new LED lights and the latest iDrive infotainment system, which is very good indeed. And then there are the changes that BMW is choosing not to communicate but, if you drive the car for yourself, you’ll be certain have been made.
This version, the M3 Competition Package, has the best-sorted chassis of any F80 M3 to date. The damping and body control are much improved over the regular M3, making the car more enjoyable to drive. Officially, though, the chassis is unchanged. DP
