Mercedes-AMG One Service Hub first service hub in Southeast Asia for Mercedes-AMG One hypercar
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has launched the Mercedes-AMG One Service Hub in Bandar Bukit Tinggi. The facility is located at Hap Seng Star and is the first service hub in Sourtheast Asia for the Mercedes-AMG One hybrid hypercar. The service hub is also the only service hub in the region. It is part of the global network of Mercedes-AMG One Service Hubs spanning Germany, Switzerland, the Middle East (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait), and Japan.
The purpose-built facility cost more than RM2.2million. Besides specialised servicing capabilities, factory-grade Affalterbach technical infrastructure, there is also direct coordination with Mercedes-AMG specialists. Malaysia was selected over other Southeast Asian countries because of its geographic location in the heart of the Asia-Pacific as well as its accessibility by land, sea and air. Finally there is Malaysia’s motorsports heritage from Sepang International Circuit.
The Mercedes-AMG One has technology derived directly from Formula 1. It is a full-fledged Formula 1 hybrid powertrain in a road-legal vehicle. The E Performance hybrid drive combines a 1.6-litre V6 turbo engine with four electric motors. The total system output is 1063hp and revs up to 11,000 RPM. Only 275 units are available globally.
Maintaining the AMG One with its power, performance, and complexity requires expertise and equipment that exceed standard capabilities. The Mercedes-AMG ONE Service Hub meets these requirements. The dedicated infrastructure includes specialised high-voltage tools and safety procedures, vehicle-specific diagnostic equipment, controlled vehicle storage and working conditions, and direct technical coordination with Mercedes-AMG specialists.
At the Service Hub are the Malaysia-based team of technicians who have undergone specialised training and are certified by Mercedes-AMG to perform approved diagnostic, maintenance, and service procedures for the Mercedes-AMG ONE. The dedicated infrastructure and as well as expertise safeguard the AMG One’s performance, safety, and engineering integrity.
In addition, the Mercedes-AMG One Service Hub is linked to the Mercedes-Benz Parts Logistics Asia Pacific hub in Malaysia. The proximity optimises inventory management and parts distribution, which minimises downtime for replacement parts and maintenance requirements.
The Service Hub also offers comprehensive, customer-centric service consisting of:
- In-country technical Flying Doctors: On-ground technical specialists providing immediate, first-level response across the region.
- Seamless international communication: Dedicated liaison officers facilitating clear, efficient communication and personalised support for international and regional clientele.
- End-to-end digital ecosystem: A mature, integrated digital service framework enabling transparent, real-time diagnostic reporting and elevated customer experience.
The development of specialised high-value automotive services also supports the objectives of the Thirteenth Malaysia Plan (2026–2030), bolstering Malaysia’s high-value services sector and enhancing Malaysia’s competitiveness cross the region.
The new Mercedes-AMG ONE Service Hub shows Malaysia’s growing capabilities in specialised, high-value automotive services. By combining world-class technical expertise, dedicated service infrastructure, strategic logistics connectivity, and a strong regional support network, the facility strengthens the country’s position as a regional centre of excellence.
