BMW Group Malaysia Delivers Over 10,800 Vehicles in 2025
BMW Group Malaysia delivered more than 10,800 BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad vehicles in 2025. Locally assembled models accounted for 55% of total deliveries. The company retained its position as Malaysia’s top premium automaker and premium electric vehicle (EV) provider, delivering over 2,700 fully electric vehicles. EVs made up 25.2% of total sales, up from 20.6% in 2024.
The BMW brand delivered over 7,700 vehicles during the year. MINI Malaysia recorded more than 1,500 deliveries, representing an 8.7% increase year-on-year. BMW Motorrad delivered over 1,600 motorcycles, marking a 3.8% increase compared to 2024.
The automotive group introduced 37 new models and variants in 2025. Demand for electric vehicles continued to grow, led by the BMW iX2 xDrive30 M Sport, BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport and BMW iX1 eDrive20 M Sport. MINI delivered more than 700 electric vehicles, which represented 46.4% of its total sales, driven by the MINI Aceman SE and MINI Countryman SE ALL4. BMW Motorrad delivered over 170 electric motorcycles, led by the BMW CE 04.
The BMW 3 Series led brand sales with more than 1,300 units delivered, followed by the BMW 5 Series with over 1,240 units. The BMW X1 recorded over 1,200 deliveries. MINI saw its strongest performance from the Countryman range, which delivered over 900 units, followed by the electric Aceman SE and the MINI Cooper range. BMW Motorrad recorded its highest volumes in the Adventure segment, delivering more than 990 units.
BMW Group Malaysia has expanded its EV charging access . There was now more than 2,000 charging points nationwide through partnerships with multiple charging providers. The company also operated more than 100 BMW i and MINI charging facilities at authorised dealerships and partner locations.
In 2025, BMW Group Malaysia launched the locally assembled BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport Pro, becoming the first BMW subsidiary in the Asia-Pacific region to assemble a fully electric BMW vehicle.
BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia financed more than 4,440 vehicles during the year and achieved a penetration rate of 35.8%. Digital channels accounted for over 40% of funded contracts. Financing penetration for BMW Motorrad reached 67.7%, the highest rate in the Asia-Pacific region.
BMW Group Malaysia recorded high customer satisfaction scores across BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad sales and service operations.
The company exported more than 11,800 vehicles to the Philippines and Thailand. In October 2025, BMW Group Malaysia began construction of a new vehicle distribution centre in Selangor. Operations are scheduled to start in January 2027. The facility will accommodate more than 3,000 vehicles and include EV charging infrastructure.
BMW Group Malaysia continued to invest in local talent to support skills development for the electric vehicle sector. This was through development programmes such as BMW NextGT, which is in partnership with the Selangor Technical Skills Development Centre.
