BYD Seal sports coupé available in two variants, Premium and Performance
BYD Seal is now available in Malaysia in two variants, the Premium at RM179,800 and Performance at RM199,800.
The four-door coupé EV is built on e-Platform 3.0 with cell-to-body (CTB) technology which integrates the Blade battery into the vehicles structure. This gives better stability and safety, along with iTAC technology, BYD’s proprietary torque vectoring technology. The Seal’s turning circle is 5.7 metres.
The Seal has a drag coefficient of 0.219. The body is 4800mm long and 1875mm wide. The boot is 400-litres with an additional 50-litres in front. The suspension is double wishbone in front and multi-link rear. Both variants have 19-inch rims.
The Premium electric motor produces 308bhp and 360Nm of torque. Zero to 100km/h takes 5.9 seconds with a range of 650km. The Premium is rear wheel drive. The all-wheel drive Performance is 523bhp and 670Nm of torque. Zero to 100km/h takes 3.8 seconds. The range is 580km. The fast charging capability of up to 150kW.
The Seal has nine airbags, ADAS and 360º camera system.
The interior is Thaumas Black with a crystal gearshift. There is a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen for infortainment which includes HIFI Dynaudio sound system. There is also PM2.5 filtration system.
