Mercedes C 350 e is the new flagship C-Class variant
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has launched the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class variant, the C 350 e. The new top-of-the-range model, the C 350 e is a plug-in hybrid. It replaces the petrol driven C 300. The C-Class range now consists of the entry-level C 200 and the new C 350 e.
The C 350 e has a 2.0-litre engine and motor. The engine produces 204bhp and 320Nm of torque. The motor produces 95kW and 440Nm of torque. The combined output from the engine and motor is 313bhp and a maximum torque of 550Nm. Zero-to-100km/h takes 6.1 seconds, to a top speed of 245km/h. The electric range is 117km (WLTP). The 25.4kWh battery comes with a 11 kW charger for three phase charging on a household AC mains supply. To accommodate the increased weight from the high voltage battery, the C 350 e has self-levelling suspension at the rear.
The AMG Line styling exterior includes Mercedes-Benz pattern grille with the star design in chrome with 18-inch AMG 5-spoke light-alloy wheels. There is also Night Package, high-gloss black on the louvre of the radiator shell, trim moulding in the AMG front apron, beltline trim strip and window surround, and exterior mirror housings.
Other key exterior highlights include Digital Light, Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, panoramic sliding sunroof, and ambient lighting with projection of the Mercedes logo.
Inside, the C 350 e has the same AMG Line interior as its predecessor – metal trim elements, multifunction sports steering wheel in nappa leather, and AMG floor mats. There is also black ARTICO man-made leather upholstery, instrument panel and beltlines in ARTICO man-made leather in nappa look.
The 12.3-inch LCD screen and 11.9-inch touchscreen central display angled towards the driver. The C 350e is fitted with the latest generation MBUX multimedia system.
