Ultra High Performance tyres from the Eagle F1 family launched by Goodyear Malaysia
Goodyear Malaysia has added five new tyres to the Eagle F1 tyre range: the SuperSport RS, SuperSport R, SuperSport, Asymmetric 5 and the Asymmetric 3 SUV.
The Eagle F1 SuperSport series was designed for comfort, control and superior performance in the wet, to offer better grip and handling on the road. U-shaped compound and specialised power zones create pockets of control for wet and dry handling.
Meanwhile a thread deformation protector helps the tyre to maintaining its shape, allowing better footprint preservation for high-speed stability. To increase grip during cornering, Goodyear applied a closed outside pattern, which allows for more agile performance. Additionally, it also has a stiffer sidewall design which improves handling and stability.
For wet conditions, there’s Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5: which offers luxurious comfort and superior wet breaking. The thread design and Impulse Control Compound Technology, a highly refined silica compound, allow the tyre to endure the force of high-speed braking, shortening the braking distance. This compound also allows a patch extension through Goodyear’s ActiveBraking Technology, which allows the tyre to slightly expand when braking to create more grip using its walls. In addition to being built for wet conditions, the tyre has Power Cushion Technology (stiff coupling of carcass and pattern) which produces precise power transmission, leading to excellent dry handling.
For larger cars and SUVs, Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 SUV is designed to be sturdy while promoting better fuel consumption from its low rolling resistance. It is also capable of shortening braking distance through ActiveBraking Technology, in any condition. It enforces stronger grip, which makes it easier for handling and braking. Its specialised Grip Booster compound increases the tyre’s stickiness with the road surface, allowing it to be comfortable while maintaining handling when travelling at higher speeds giving the driver to total control.
