Perodua has launched a new entry-level model Bezza saloon, the GXtra, a new higher-spec trim level that replaces the 1.0 Standard G but is between RM450 to RM1500 less, depending on gearbox option.
The new variant is powered by a 1.0 litre naturally-aspirated engine with a choice of either five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission.
The GXtra features side skirts and chromed external and internal door handles. Inside the dashboard and centre console are finished in piano black. The air vent surrounds, steering wheel spokes and gear lever base are satin-finished. The audio system now includes Bluetooth connectivity. The GXtra is available in Ocean Blue, a colour previously only offered for 1.3-litre variants
The Bezza is the best-selling saloon in Malaysia with nearly 100,000 units sold since launch in mid-2016. With EEV status, the Bezza has a claimed fuel efficiency of 22.8km/L for the manual and 21.3km/L for the automatic.
The Bezza GXtra is priced at RM35,500 for the manual and RM37,500 for the automatic, on-the-road without insurance with a five-year/150,000 km warranty.
The Bezza GXtra can be viewed at the Malaysia Autoshow until Sunday 29th April 2018 at MAEPS, Serdang.
