Proton X70 to ferry delegates in upcoming APEC 2020

The Proton X70 has been selected to be one of the official vehicles to ferry delegates in the upcoming APEC 2020 forum

The Proton X70 has been selected as one of the official vehicles of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) 2020 or MyAPEC 2020. It will be used to support the year-long forum that promotes economic cooperation throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

Being a national brand, Proton is selected as it is a symbol of Malaysia’s industrialization as it moved from a natural resource based economy to a manufacturing and knowledge based economy. The Proton X70 is the first model launched from the Proton-Geely partnership, and thanks to its affordable price and generous list of features, the X70 is an instant hit among Malaysians.

Officials of 21 APEC Economies will visit Malaysia throughout 2020 as Committees and Working Groups will deliberate various issues towards regional economic integration. Discussion on liberalising trade and investment is enhanced by addressing issues on embracing digitalisation, increasing human resource development efforts, and strengthening women empowerment, among others.
