New MINI Cooper S Clubman was launched with  MINI JCW 306HP Clubman and MINI JCW 306HP Countryman

The new MINI Clubman has been launched in Malaysia along with two new JCW 306HP variants, the Clubman JCW and Countryman JCW.

The second generation Clubman facelift has had several updates to its looks as well as specs. The Cooper S-specced Clubman has a redesigned radiator grille, new LED headlights and Union Jack tail lights and an exclusive paintwork, Indian Summer Red which appears to change colour depending on the angle from which it is viewed. The 18-inch light alloy wheels are in MINI Yours British Spoke two-tone design.

0-100km/h is in 7.2 seconds and top speed is 228km/h enabled by the 192bhp four-cylinder twin-scroll turbo which produces 280Nm of torque, paired with a new seven-speed dual-clutch sports transmission.

The Clubman’s distinctive twin door tailgate make it the only MINI to feature six doors for easy loading and unloading of cargo. The luggage compartment is 360litres but expands to 1250litres when the rear seats are folded down.

The seats are upholstered in Walknappa leather with the Union Jack on the headrests. The steering wheel is encased in Walknappa leather encased. The floor mats have black piping and aluminium-coloured seam patterns. The sound system is Harman Kardon, a 12-speaker system designed exclusively for the Clubman.

New in the Clubman is a 6.5-inch MINI Navigation System with a touch screen display. MINI Connected has a built-in 4G SIM for connection and the MINI Connected app gives access to a wide rage of digital services including Concierge Service, Apple Carplay and MINI Online that allow mobility planning to be integrated seamlessly in day-to-day digital routines.

The app also enables sending navigational information from smartphone to vehicle and receiving departure information as well as the MINI Remote Services – which displays vehicle location, fuel level and other vehicle status details on their mobile devices. The function also allows quick activation of the headlight flash, horn, ventilation and door lock/unlock function.

Six colours are offered for the new MINI Clubman: Indian Summer Red, New British Racing Green, Pepper White, Thunder Grey, Melting Silver and Starlight Blue. Priced at RM298,888 (on-the-road, without insurance), there’s four years Unlimited Mileage Warranty with free scheduled service included.
