MINI John Cooper Works 306HP launched in Clubman and Countryman variants.
Two new MINI John Cooper Works 306HP models are now available in Clubman and Countryman variants, sharing the most powerful engine ever in MINI’s 60 year history. The four-cylinder, 2.0-litre twin-scroll turbo 306 bhp engine produces 306bhp and 450Nm of torque and is new to the JCW models. The engine is paired with an eight-speed sports automatic transmission. 0-100km/h is 4.9 seconds for the Clubman and 5.1 seconds in the Countryman with top speed electronically limited to 250km/h. The racetrack-worthy model also have Launch Control for faster take-off from standstill than a standard manual gearbox
To manage the increased output, the JCW 306HP is equipped with a new sports brake system which includes our-piston, fixed-calliper disc brakes on the rear wheels, two external radiators and a larger expansion tank and other upgrades to the cooling system and sports exhausts as well as ALL4 all-wheel drive as standard.
The MINI JCW 306HP’s interior has been redesigned with racing seats upholstered in Carbon Black Dinamica Leather. There is also a JCW leather steering wheel, JCW instrument cluster, JCW centre display trim, JCW start screen and JCW door sills stainless-steel pedals, MINI Yours Interior Cockpit Surface in Piano Black that illuminates at night in 12 different colours, and a Panoramic Sunroof that comes as standard for the new MINI John Cooper Works 306HP variants. Both of the new MINI John Cooper Works 306HP variants are fitted with the exclusive 19-inch JCW Circuit Spoke Two-Tone wheels with racing-inspired looks.
For connectivity, both variants have new, in-vehicle 4G SIM card, and updated MINI Connected App with features including Teleservices, Intelligent Emergency Call, Remote Services, Apple Carplay, Concierge Services and MINI Online. The MINI Find Mate is also available for convenient tracking of car keys and other important devices.
Safety features in the JCW 306HP are Park Assist which parallel parks automatically, Park Distance Control that measures the space in front of and behind the car as its manoeuvred into place and a rear-view camera to make reversing easier.
Clubman
Besides the new engine and gearbox, the MINI JCW Clubman 306HP has also been extensively redesigned on the outside: a modified front bumper, a new front spoiler with larger splitter and a new insert in the lower grille, new bumper trim panel with enlarged cooling air intakes at both sides and two external coolant radiators.
The all-new front grille design has a larger, more distinctive grille surface and the signature John Cooper Works honeycomb design. The crash beam is now placed under the honeycomb grille.
Open mesh inserts in the upper and lower part of the front grille are for an additional external cooler, with larger air inlets at the front, in the middle and at the side. Park Distance Control (PDC) sensors are in the ornamental grille as well as the John Cooper Works typical red design blade, the JCW badge and surrounding the grille, a new Piano Black exterior trim feature.
Also on the JCW Clubman are new LED headlights, with Matrix Light Functionality, the first of its kind on a MINI vehicle. There are new headlights also have a glossy black Piano Black surround. New cornering lights are standard. Meanwhile, the full LED taillights and rear brake lights now illuminate in a Union Jack pattern. The revised rear bumper now has a new JCW-specific exhaust system in double-board design. The tailpipes are now bigger with a 95 mm diameter to make room for the characteristic JCW sound.

Countryman
The MINI JCW Countrymen’s exterior updates include a new bumper trim panel with open air intakes on both sides to cool the new engine efficiently and bigger 85mm tailpipes for the JCW’s distinctive sound. The JCW Countryman also gets adaptive suspension.
The new MINI John Cooper Works Countryman 306HP is offered in Rebel Green, Light White, Midnight Black and Chili Red.
