Hyundai has revealed the new Santa Fe ahead of its official debut at the Geneva motor show next month. The Nissan X-Trail-rivalling large SUV grows in length and width, while gaining Kona-like styling and the ‘HTRAC’ four-wheel-drive system inherited from Hyundai’s Genesis luxury brand. There will be 2.0-litre diesel and turbo petrol engines joining the line-up, in addition to the existing 194bhp 2.2-litre diesel.
A host of driver aids are standard, as is a system that locks the rear doors and alerts the driver if a door is being opened when traffic is approaching from behind. Prices are expected to increase from the current car’s £32,845 start point.
