Nissan X-Trail e-Power x e-4orce to launch in Malaysia in Q4 2026
The Nissan X-Trail e-Power x e-4orce is now at KLIMS 2026. The preview is ahead of the Malaysia launch later this year. It will be the third e-Power model in Malaysia and the first with Nissan’s e-4orce all-wheel drive technology. The Kicks e-Power was the first e-Power vehicle to launch, in 2024. The Serena e-Power launched earlier this year. All three vehicles are at the Nissan booth and reinforce Nissan’s expanding electrified line-up in Malaysia.
As with the Kicks e-Power SUV and the Serena e-Power MPV, the X-Trail e-Power is an all-electric SUV with a dedicated petrol engine to generate electricity and charge the battery, making electrified mobility more practical and accessible for everyday driving. No charging cables required, no need to queue for EV chargers.
In addition to the e-Power electric-drive system there is also e‑4orce all‑wheel-control technology. In traditional all-wheel drive that relies on a single engine to distribute power to the front and rear wheels through the propshaft, there are delays in power delivery which affect responsiveness and handling precision. Nissan e-4orce utilises dual electric motors to control front and rear torque which provides real-time torque and braking control at all four wheels individually. This optimises traction, stability and ride control even over varying road and weather conditions.
