Jetour Auto Malaysia officially commenced assembly operations in Tampoi
Jetour cars are now assembled in Malaysia. Production operations have commenced officially at Tampoi, Johor Bahru for the Dashing and VT9 models at Berjaya Assembly Sdn. Bhd (B-Assembly).
The Dashing and VT9 debuted in May 2025. The Dashing is a five-seater SUV, the VT9 is a seven-seater. More model launches are in the pipeline. There are now more than 20 Jetour dealerships nationwide.
The local assembly operations for the Dashing and VT9 are at B-Assembly’s existing 640,000 sq. ft. facility with a dedicated workforce of more than 100 employees. Over 1000 units have been assembled. Dashing deliveries began in June 2025 followed by the VT9. The investment for the assembly line has been approximately RM1.4billion. Initial units are for the Malaysia market however, production will later expand to exporting to neighbouring ASEAN countries. This is inline with the manufacturer’s long term plans across the ASEAN region. The establishment of the Malaysia assembly line enables Jetour to meet rising demand and improve delivery timelines.
