Honda e:N1 is Honda’s first BEV in Malaysia
The Honda e:N1 is now in Malaysia. The B-segment crossover is Honda’s first BEV in Malaysia and only available in limited quantities. Two hundreds units were pre-booked ahead of the launch.
The e:N1 has a 68.8kWh lithium-ion battery that generates a maximum power of 150kW and a peak torque of 310Nm. There is AC charging at up to 10 kW, with the time to recharge from 10 per cent to 80 per cent taking around six hours. The DC (Fast Charging) is up to 78 kW and takes 50 minutes to recharge from 30 per cent to 80 per cent. The driving range of up to 500km NEDC range or approximately 410km WLTP range.
Outside, the e:N1 looks similar to the Honda HR-V with a few differentiating details: a different sleek front grille that conceals the charging port and a new white “H” badge that symbolises Honda’s electrification. There are LED Headlights, LED Taillight and 18-inch Dual-Tone Alloy Wheels made just for the BEV.
Inside there is blue ambient lighting, a Wireless Charger and a 10.25-inch TFT display for driving information that is exclusive to the e:N1. The infotainment monitor is an 15.1-inch advanced display audio that integrates a three-section touchscreen panel. The top section has essential infotainment features, including Wireless Apple CarPlay, Wired Android Auto Connectivity and Navigation System. The middle section provides access to vehicle status information and audio controls, while the bottom section features air conditioning settings.
The e:N1 has a 344-litre cargo area. The rear seats have a 60:40 split rear seat configuration.
In addition to Honda SENSING, the e:N1 has Blind Spot Information (BSI) with Cross Traffic Monitor (CTM), a feature currently exclusive to this BEV.
Three colours are available. These are
- Platinum White Pearl
- Aqua Topaz Metallic
- Urban Gray Pearl.
The e:N1 is a joint venture between Dongfeng and Honda. The car is fully imported from China where it is called the e:NS1.
The Honda e:N1 is RM149,900 on-the-road without insurance. There is an eight-year or 160,000km warranty* (whichever comes first) on the electric vehicle battery and electric drive system.
Honda also offers the the Honda Insurance Plus (HiP EV) package for the e:N1, which provides additional benefits for EV owners. These include:
- coverage for damage or injury while using public EV chargers
- protection for EV Home wall charger against fire, lightning, theft or natural disasters
- coverage for loss or damage to the portable charging cable
- personal liability coverage for bodily injury or damage to third-party property arising from the use of the EV home wall charger
