New Chery Smart Auto Industrial Park located in the Beringin High-Tech Auto Valley developed by Legenda Beringin Holding
A new Chery Smart Auto Industrial Park in Beringin High-Tech Auto Valley, Hulu Selangor. Legenda Beringin Holding Sdn Bhd (“Legenda Beringin”) and Chery Corporate Malaysia Sdn Bhd (“Chery Malaysia”) have signed an agreement. There was also a symbolic groundbreaking for the Chery Smart Auto Industrial Park.
Legenda Beringin is the master developer of the Beringin High-Tech Auto Valley (“Beringin HTA Valley”) which will be home to the latest investment by Chery Holding Group Co., Ltd in Malaysia. This is a milestone for Selangor as a hub for advanced automotive manufacturing and technology innovation.
Present at the signing of the agreement was His Highness Tengku Amir Shah, the Raja Muda of Selangor who is also the Royal Patron of Invest Selangor, and witnessed by Yang Berhormat (“YB”) Tuan Ng Sze Han, the Selangor EXCO for Investment, Trade, and Mobility.
His Highness Tengku Amir Shah and YB Tuan Ng Sze Han also took part in the ceremonial groundbreaking. Also present were Chery Automobile Co., Ltd Chairman Yin Tongyue, Chery International President Zhang Guibing, Chery Corporate Malaysia Executive Vice President Leo Chen, Legenda Beringin Chairman Chia Song Kooi, Co-Chairman Ng Sai Bee, and Ruby Technique Sdn Bhd (“Ruby Technique”) Chairman Dr Chia Song Kun. Ruby Technique, a private venture of the Chia Family Office, is a major shareholder in Legenda Beringin.
The 200-acre Chery Smart Auto Industrial Park anchors the first phase development of the 800-acre Beringin HTA Valley ecosystem. The probject will bring world-class automotive manufacturing and cutting-edge technologies to Hulu Selangor.
Targeted for completion in 2026, the Chery Smart Auto Industrial Park will have have an initial production capacity of 100,000 vehicles per annum, scalable to 300,000 vehicles per annum. The Chery Smart Auto Industrial Park will contribute RM2.2 billion to the economy over a period of 5-years.
The remaining land area will be allocated for other developments. The aim is to build a leading hub for automotive innovation, supply chain, vocational training, and technological advancement in the region.

We are confident that once completed it will create high-value job opportunities, house a cutting-edge R&D centre, expand vehicle exports to neighbouring countries, strengthen Selangor’s role through a robust supply chain, and solidify Malaysia’s position as a leading automotive hub in ASEAN,” said Chery International President Zhang Guibing.
