New Honda Civic now has Google Built-In with Google Assistant and other Google features accessed from the infotainment system
The new Honda Civic is now in Malaysia with several updates. These include access to Google Assistant, Google Maps and Google Play directly from the nine-inch Advanced Display Audio (infotainment monitor). The Honda Connect app is now available for the new Civic. In addition, there are exterior and interior cosmetic updates and a new exterior colour, Canyon River Blue Metallic.
The front bumper and grille have been restyled across all the variants. In the flagship e:HEV RS, there are body-coloured front grille extensions and lower grille garnishes. The e:HEV RS also has new 18-inch Matte Grey Alloy Wheels. The petrol RS has new black-painted grille accents. The RS variants have a new RS emblem. Across all variants, there is a black taillight extension.
The engines are unchanged. The e:HEV RS has 2.0-litre hybrid powertrain produces 181bhp and 312Nm of torque, paired with a electric CVT (eCVT) gearbox. The petrol RS, V and E variants have a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, 179bhp and 240Nm of torque with a CVT gearbox.
The e:HEV RS variant features red colour inserts and a refreshed pattern for its combination leather upholstery. Across the variants, the new Google Built-In allows users to access Google Assistant for hands-free commands, real-time navigation through Google Maps, and access to a variety of apps via Google Play. drivers can experience seamless driving with real-time traffic updates and manage Air Conditioning controls through Google Assistant, all without taking their eyes off the road. The nine-inch Advanced Display Audio system with Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity has USB Type-C ports for charging. For RS variants, there’s wireless charging further enhances convenience. Exclusive to the e:HEV RS are a 10.2-inch TFT Meter and key card.
Honda’s ADAS system, Honda Sensing, is available across all variants providing the following features:

- Lead Car Departure Notification System (LCDN)
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
- Forward Collision Warning (FCW)
- Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)
- Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS)
- Road Departure Mitigation (RDM)
- Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
- Auto High Beam (AHB)
Other safety/convenience features are Honda LaneWatch, Multi-Angle Rear View Camera, Walk Away Auto Lock, Remote Engine Start and Driver Attention Monitor.
Honda Connect app
The new Honda Connect app is an advanced smartphone integration system that provides convenience, safety, and security through smart connectivity features. Find your car more easily with the Light & Horn remote function. There are also proactive vehicle notifications and enhanced data management through the app.

- Ignite Red Metallic
- Meteoroid Grey Metallic
- Crystal Black Pearl
- Canyon River Blue Metallic.
Crystal Black Pearl is exclusive to the 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol variants. There is a RM800 surcharge for Ignite Red Metallic and Platinum White Pearl. Solar and Security Film are pre-installed as standard.
