The all-new E-Class is marginally larger than its predecessor and has a Cd of 0.23 which has been aerodynamically optimised as follows:

  • Optimised contours: even including the tyres
  • sealing of the front section: for the first time with side-sealing of the bonnet and an aero-lip in the radiator grille
  • Wheels with claddings: so-called “aeroblinds”
  • Special spoilers at the front and rear wheels
  • Flush, retractable door handles
  • new materials on the underbody
    – 2-component main floor with moulded-on sealing lips
    – improved shape: ramp-shaped spoiler lips, aerodynamic cladding on suspension components

The E 350 e has a panoramic sliding sunroof with improved wind deflector and side deflectors which also improves cabin acoustics.

The light shape for the two variants is the same but the light design is different. The E 200 has LED headlights with adaptive high beam assist. There are 19-inch multi-spoke alloys on the E200 while the E350 e has 20-inch AMG multi-spoke alloy wheels.

The E 200 features Agility Control suspension with selective damping system and lowering. It is 15 millimetres lower than the suspension in the E 350 e which has Agility Control suspension with selective damping system, delivering comfortable suspension with passive selective damping system.

The E200 has ARTICO man-made leather upholstery on the contoured seats. The E 350 e has leather upholstery. In addition, the front seats, in both, have three-stage ventilation and heating. The instrument cluster in both variants is digital although the E350 e has 3D display which gives the additional effect of depth.

The E200 has MBUX multimedia system Premium while the E350 e has Premium Plus and Superscreen, a large glass surface which spans across the entire dashboard and includes a display on the passenger side.

Drivers can create personal profiles for the car through the Mercedes me app. The app is able to store personal preferences like favourite radio stations and presets and the driver can transfer these preferences to any Mercedes-Benz vehicle of the same MBUX generation.

iPhone and Apple Watch users can start and lock the E-Class through the Digital Vehicle Key, part of the Keyless Go Convenience Package with hands-free access.
