Car buying and selling e-commerce giant, Carsome, opens retail outlet in Petaling Jaya
Carsome has launched of Carsome PJ Automall. The experience centre is Carsome’s largest to-date, in Malaysia. It is also the first that comes with electric vehicle charging stations.
For customers, the Automall enables them to experience prospective cars – from viewing, to selecting, to on-the-spot test driving – before completing their purchase with on-site financial facilities, able to process loan applications and approvals in one day. Additional conveniences include car aesthetic services such as detailing and tinting for their newly-bought cars.

Carsome Co-founder and Group CEO, Eric Cheng said the Automall aims to enhance customers’ car purchase journey by offering them convenience and comfort under one roof. “The launch of the Carsome PJ Automall will strengthen our online-to-offline hybrid offering and raise the bar on our customers’ car buying experience. Our motivation is to make this experience centre a lifestyle-centric one, where customers can walk in to enjoy the shopping process, and more importantly, leave the worry and hassle to our dedicated teams,” Cheng added.
Located along the Federal Highway at the Naza Automall showroom, the Carsome PJ Automall occupies a built-up space of over 100,000 sq ft. It can accommodate more than 200 cars – from Carsome’s inventory of over 1,600 cars – for customers to view. The range includes SUVs, MPVs, 4x4s, saloons, hatchbacks to the luxury line segment.
Complimentary services are also at the Automall: banking partners Maybank and Public Bank, and car detailing and tinting partners Ecotint and Glass Auto for the convenience of customers. Carsome will also also be adding food and beverage options in the future.
First introduced in 2020, Carsome Experience Centres are based on the concept of ‘The New Way of Buying Cars’. Customers can browse a selection of Certified cars from the Carsome website before arranging a test drive at the nearest Carsome Experience Centre. Carsome has more than 10 Experience Centres in Malaysia to serve the growing demand for pre-owned cars.
For the launch of the Carsome PJ Automall, Carsome will be organising a two-day Shop and Dine Carsome CARnival event. This will take place on Saturday, 11 June and Sunday, 12 June from 12.00noon to 8.30pm. Visitors can dine on an array of food options and enjoy music performances. They can also participate in activities and games as they browse through the pre-owned cars before making a purchase. There will also be in lucky draws with up to RM12,000 worth of lucky draw prizes.
