Entry-level AMG GLC 43 is eligible for SST exemption
The Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4Matic Coupé is the latest locally-assembled variant from Mercedes-Benz.
The radiator grille is AMG-specific and there are new multi-beam LED headlights with Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus. The twin tailpipes have round finishers. The wheels are 21-inch AMG five twin-spoke light-alloy wheels with AMG lettering. There is also AMG Night package with selected exterior elements finished in high-gloss black.
The output from the V6 3.0-litre has been increased from 367 to 390bhp. Maximum torque 520Nm is available from 2500 to 5000rpm. 0-100km/h takes 4.9 seconds, top speed is 250km/h. The transmission is a nine-speed automatic. The SUV is all-wheel drive and is fitted with AMG Dynamics agility control system with five drive programmes: Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Individual.
Ride comfort is provided by AMG Ride Control which combines Air Body Control air suspension with AMG-specific Adaptive Damping System.
The safety technologies in the Driving Assistance Package include Active Distance Assist Distronic, Active Steering Assist, Active Brake Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist and Pre-Safe system.
The sports seats upholstered in Artico man-made leather and Dinamica microfibre with red top stitching.
The GLC 43 has the latest MBUX infortainment system is viewed on a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and 1-.25-inch touchscreen display, and accessed via touchpad, Touch Control buttons on the steering wheel, by voice control or gesture control.
