New Honda CR-V SUV flagship variant now with 4WD and updated Honda Sensing
The new Honda CR-V is now available in Malaysia. There are three variants, a naturally-aspirated 2.0-litre 2WD, and two with a turbocharged 1.5-litre, a 2WD and the new top-of-the-range 4WD variant.
The 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine produces 190bhp and 243Nm of torque.
Exterior updates to the 1.5-litre variants of the new CR-V are a new black grille, Honda signature LED headlights and new front bumper and new wing-style chrome fascia. There is also a new rear dark chrome, new smoked finish taillights, rear bumper with new wing-style chrome fascia and twin tail pipe chrome finish
In the cabin, the consoles have been redesigned with two USB ports under the gearshift so two devices can be charged at the same time.
Also new are
- Hands-Free Power Tailgate activated by waving a foot under the rear bumper
- Remote Engine Start so the air-conditioning can be switched on in advance
- Remote Retractable Door Mirrors to fold the door mirrors via the smart key
The advanced safety technology in the new CR-V has also been upgraded and the SUV is now equipped with the full suite of Honda Sensing features:

- Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS)
- Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

The New CR-V also comes with a new safety feature, Rear Seat Belt Reminder that sounds an alert when the rear passengers have not fastened their seat belts.
