Audi A4 updated with new looks, new features, new accessories, starting from $182,540 inclusive of COE and VES

The new Audi A4 had made its debut in Singapore. In the midlife refresh, the updates include a new mild hybrid powertrain, new exterior styling details and new interior features.

At launch, the new A4 and A4 Avant are available with 2.0-litre engines with two output options: 148bhp, 270Nm and 187bhp, 320Nm “Advance” spec. The engines have a 12-volt mild hybrid option to improve efficiency by storing energy generated when braking in an additional Lithium-ion battery. A third 2.0-litre 245bhp quattro all-new drive variant will be added to the line-up later. They are all paired with seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The exterior has been extensively revised to increase the impression of low, sporty looks. Nearly every body panel has been changed. There are new full LED headlights and new singleframe grille at the front.  At the rear, the new A6-style tail lamps have dynamic turn indicators and a new chrome strip connecting them. There are two new crease lines on the body, above and below the door handles, and haunches above the wheel arches.

Inside, the driver’s seat has memory settings as standard. The A4 has the longest cabin in its class with the most rear passenger legroom. The 12.3-inch instrument cluster is now fully digital. The latest version of the digital virtual cockpit plus with more configuration options. The MMI infotainment system has a 10.1-inch touchscreen with handwriting recognition. It has smartphone interface to Android as well as iOs.

In addition, there is Audi Connect Services, integrated digital services via the MMI. It combines location search and information, with real-time navigation and weather information. Audi Connect Services is now standard in the A4.

The Audi A4 is now also compatible with the myAudi app. The driver can check the status of various features and functions in the car remotely. Through the smartphone the driver can find out whether the doors are locked, the windows closed, fuel level, even the car’s location.

The exterior and interior options are grouped into “equipment lines” and are available to order. For the exterior, there is the basic and the advanced line. For the interior, basic, design selection and S line. They can be freely combined to create personalised looks. Standard wheels are 17-inch, with a choice of wheels up to 19-inch.
