Recall affects 55,354 Honda cars in Malaysia
Honda Malaysia is recalling 55,354 cars in Malaysia over faulty fuel pumps. This is global product call is a precautionary measure. As of today, there are no incidences of crashes or injuries caused by this issue reported in Malaysia. The replacement of the affected fuel pump is free of charge and all cost related to this replacement activity will be borne by Honda Malaysia. The replacement stock will be available in stages.

The product recall does not affect year 2020 production models.
Honda stresses that this recall is a precaution. The sign of fuel pump failure is loss of engine power with the vehicle stalling. All affected customers will be sent notification letters with details of the product recall. They should then contact any Honda authorised dealer to make an appointment to replace the fuel pump, subject to parts availability.
