Proton will still continue to honour and extend the warranty of its cars 30 days post-MCO despite missing recommended service period
Proton has recently released a statement that the Malaysian carmaker will extend the warranty of its cars 30 days post-MCO and would like to reassure its customers regarding the following service and warranty related issues.
- Warranties expiring during the MCO period will be extended by 1,000km or 30 days following the final day of the MCO, whichever comes first.
- As all Proton service outlets will be closed during the MCO, warranties will remain valid even if the vehicle misses its recommended service period. Customers are advised to service their vehicle within 30 days of the end of the MCO period to keep their warranties active.
- Customers are advised to contact a Proton service outlet to book a service appointment within 15 days of the end of the MCO period.
