New premium small SUV comes packed with safety features
Volvo Car Malaysia has entered the premium small SUV segment with the launch of the Volvo XC40 T5 which comes in R-Design trim level as standard. Filled with a range of technologies shared with its larger siblings, the all-wheel drive XC40 comes with Pilot Assist (semi-autonomous driving), the latest generation of City Safety (autonomous collision mitigation and avoidance, including pedestrian, cyclist and large animal detection), Run-off Road Protection and Mitigation, Cross Traffic Alert with Auto Brake, and other features also in the Volvo 90s and 60s ranges.
The XC40 T5 R-Design has a 2.0-litre petrol engine with a total output of 252bhp and 350Nm of torque. Acceleration to 100km/h takes 6.4 seconds.
Priced at RM255,888 on-the-road without insurance, the XC40 T5 R-Design comes in four colours: Bursting Blue, Fusion Red, Crystal White and Osmium Grey.
