Volvo Car Malaysia has announced the appointment of Nalin Jain has its new Managing Director, effective 1 March 2019, taking over from Lennart Stegland.
Mr Jain’s previous post was that of the Chief Financial Officer of Volvo Auto India. He has over 20 years of experience in the automotive, consulting, and technology fields. Mr Jain holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering from State University of New York and an MBA from the Sloan School of Management in MIT.
After 40 years of service with Volvo Cars, leading positions in Research and Development, Marketing and Sales, and Managing various National Sales Companies, Mr Stegland will be retiring from the organisation. Under his leadership, Volvo Car Malaysia has posted strong growth: a total volume of 1,384 units delivered in 2018, a 35 per cent increase from 2017 (1,201 units) and a 48 per cent increase in 2016 (934 units).
