Volkswagen Malaysia launches high-spec Golf R-Line

Two trim levels now for 1.4-litre Golf TSI, Sportline and new R-Line

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia has launched the Golf R-Line. The new trim level comes with upgraded equipment over the Sportline: R-line styling package of front and rear bumpers, rear spoiler and R-line badging as well as 17″ Singapore alloy wheels, ‘Zoom’ fabric seats, LED adaptive headlights with dynamic cornering, keyless entry, keyless push button ignition, reverse camera and LCD instrument cluster.

The Golf R-Line is powered by the same 1.4-litre TSI engine as the Sportline, producing 148bhp and 250Nm of torque and paired with a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox.

Advanced safety features include manoeuvre braking which autonomously applies the brakes when objects are sensed during parking at speeds up to 10km/h. There is also Automatic Post Collision Brake System where the brakes are automatically applied to prevent subsequent impact when the car is involved in a collision. There is also Rest Assist.

Turmeric Yellow is the signature colour for the Golf R-Line. Additional colours are Atlantic Blue, Pure White, Deep Black, White Silver and Indium Grey.

The Golf R-Line is RM166,990, on-the-road without insurance and comes with three-years free maintenance, five-years manufacturer’s warranty and five years roadside assistance.
