New prices now with SST tax structure but Volkswagen retains 0% GST pricing until 30 November 2018
Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia has announced their new prices following the introduction of Sales & Service Tax from 1 September. Prices with SST are now lower (between 1.5 to 2.6%) for locally-assembled models, compared to prices with 6% GST but until 30 November – and while stocks last – Volkswagen will absorb SST under their Price Protection Scheme.
Aftersales service will however be going up as prices are determined by the service tax rate. The revised service pricing guide can be found here
