Order books for the new Volkswagen Arteon R-Line 4Motion are now open.

The all-wheel drive is powered by a 2.0-litre engine with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Output is 278bhp and 350Nm of torque. 0-100km/h takes 5.6 seconds, the fastest in its segment.

The flagship model has distinctive R-Line trimmings, front grille and bumper. There are LED lights front and rear.

Driver assistance systems in the new Arteon includes Lane Assist, Side Assist, and Driver Alert.

Exclusive interior details are new steering wheel with haptic touch controls, ErgoComfort sports seats in Nappa Carbon leather featuring the new R logo, and a premium Harman Kardon 700-watt 12-speaker audio system. The 9.2” Discover Pro infotainment comes with voice and gesture control, and supports both wireless App-Connect for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The high-resolution Digital Cockpit is customisable to the driver’s preferences.
