Volkswagen Arteon Bookings Opens from RM290k

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has now opened bookings for the Volkswagen Arteon. The one big question is the price; the fully-imported R-Line variant will be between RM290,000 to RM310,000. There are no release dates yet, but it will come “in a few months”.

Why consider the Volkswagen Arteon?

The Arteon is Volkswagen’s flagship model which features many of the brand’s latest equipment and tech. The Arteon also received the 2017 Golden Steering Wheel Award under the in the ‘midsize and premium class’. The award’s judges noted that the Artoen “is a true all-rounder with refined chassis tuning, a good engine and wonderful steering.”

There is no mention yet of what exactly the Arteon comes fitted with when it comes to showrooms around Malaysia, VPCM highlighted that it will come with the new Discover Pro infotainment system with a 9.2-inch screen with gesture control. It also comes fitted with Wireless App-Connect as standard.

When it comes to its engine and transmission, the Arteon is powered by the tried and tested 2.0-litre TSI engine. The turbocharged petrol engine makes 276 Hp and 350 Nm. Sending this much power all four wheels via the 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system is a 7-Speed direct shift gearbox (DSG) transmission. Also, the Arteon will come in eight exterior colours.

VPCM will be showing the Arteon in selected Volkswagen showrooms to give registered visitors the chance to have a closer look at the brand’s flagship saloon in the flesh. Inquiries and bookings for the all-new Arteon can be done at any Volkwagen dealership nationwide.
