The new Honda City is now in town

The best-selling compact saloon in Malaysia, the Honda City, has been launched with new features added across the range in the midlife refresh.

The front grille and bumper have been redesigned and safety features like Vehicle Stability Assist, Hill Start Assist and Emergency Stop Signal are now standard across the range along with conveniences like Smart Entry, push button ignition, LED daytime running lights, automatically retractable door mirrors and two-tone alloy wheels.

Upgrades in the top-spec V variant are all-LED illuminations: headlights, front fogs, tail lamps, brake lights embedded in a new ducktail spoiler. Also new are the new 6.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with eight speakers, paddle shifts and multi-angle rear view camera.

The 1.5-litre engine and torque-converter CVT gearbox are unchanged.

Five colours are offered: Lunar Silver Metallic, Taffeta White, Dark Ruby Red Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic and Crystal Black Pearl.

The new, base trim, a higher featured S-spec replaces the S+, with a RM1000 reduction in price at RM78,300. The price of the top two V- and E-spec variants remains the same at RM92,000 and RM84,600 respectively.

In addition, a range of Honda Genuine Accessories Package are offered for the new City, starting from RM820.
