Special Edition Ford Ranger FX4 launched in Malaysia

First 150 customers who buy the Ford Ranger FX4 will receive RM5398 worth of free accessories

Ford Malaysia has launched a special edition truck, the Ford Ranger FX4. Based on the Ford Ranger XLT, the FX4 has special, distinctive features: a new design mesh grille in Ebony Black, 18-inch gloss black rims wrapped in all-terrain tyres and bold ‘FX4’ decal and emblem.

Inside the cabin, there are leather-accented seats embossed with FX4 logos on the seatbacks. Contrast red stitching is on the gear selector, centre console, instrument panel, centre console, door trims, handbrake and the Ranger’s FX4 steering wheel and carpet mats.

The FX4 has the 158bhp Duratorq 2.2L turbodiesel engine with a six-speed automatic transmission that is in the Ford Ranger XLT.

Features include

• eight-inch touchscreen display
• SYNC® multimedia system with reversing camera
• electronic shift-on-the-fly 4×4
• rain-sensing wipers
• Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS)

It also has with two airbags, Limited Slip Differential, Hill Descent Control, Hill Launch Assist, Antilock Braking System (ABS) with Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) and Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), ISOFIX child seat mounts, Electronic Stability Control with Traction Control, Rollover Mitigation, Trailer Sway Control and Adaptive Load Control.

The first 150 customers nationwide who purchase the new Ford Ranger FX4 will receive the following complimentary accessories worth RM5398:

• Free accessories including a matte black sports bar and executive window tinting
• Free in-built Digital Video Recorder (DVR) and an 8GB memory card.

The New Ford Ranger FX4 is available from RM126,888 (on-the-road, with insurance). The manufacturer’s warranty is three years or up to 100,000km, whichever comes first. It comes in three colours – Meteor Grey, Absolute Black and Artic White.
