Shell FuelSave 95 Challenge finale with five regional winners competing to take home RM10,000 of fuel

The Shell FuelSave 95 Challenge 2023 grand finale was held to find the most fuel efficient driver in Malaysia and take home the grand prize of RM20,000. Five drivers, winners in their respective regional challenges, came together for the final round in Shah Alam.

The drivers were

• Chin Li Qin (26) from Johor (Southern)
• Jeffrey Tan Teck Seng, (62) from Port Dickson (Central)
• Ahmad Amirul Runass, (31) from Kuantan (East)
• Muhammad Jazli Mahathir, (30) from Ipoh (North)
• Lai Siaw Feng, (38) from Kuching (Borneo)
  

The Grand Finale challenge took place at Shell SM Alisha, Shah Alam, driving through Cyberjaya – Bukit Jalil – Cheras – Ampang – Gombak – Sri Hartamas – Kota Damansara – Puncak Alam then returning to the starting point, across various of types of roads totalling a distance of 121 kilometres.

Chin Li Qin, (26) from Johor was the winner. “Malaysia’s Most Efficient Driver” broke his previous record of 25.45 KM/L by clocking in a fuel mileage of 28.23 km/L, making him the Grand Finale of Shell FuelSave 95 Challenge 2023 champion.

All the competitors successfully surpassed above the average mileage of 18.5km/L with Shell FuelSave 95.

The new and improved formula RON 95 fuel launched in February this year claiming to last up to 15km longer per tank*A. In addition the fuel claims were as follows:
