Second generation Mercedes GLA SUV launched, from RM244k

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has launched two variants of the GLA SUV, a GLA 200 and a GLA 250

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has launched the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLA SUV. Two variants are available, the GLA 200 Progressive Line and the GLA 250 4Matic AMG Line.

The LED headlights and tail lamps are distinctive to the Mercedes GLA SUV. The second generation vehicle is 10cm taller than its predecessor. The overall body length has been reduced by 1.5cm but legroom has increased. The roofline tapers down to give a coupé-like side profile. The overall length is 4.41metres, the most compact of all the current Mercedes-Benz models.

The GLA 200 Progressive Line has a 1.3-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine combined with the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. It develops 163 bhp and a maximum torque of 250 Nm with a 0-100km/h acceleration in 8.7 seconds.

In the Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 4MATIC AMG Line is a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. The output is 224 bhp with a maximum torque of 350 Nm, accelerating the car from 0-100 km/h in only 6.9 seconds.

The latest generation Mercedes me connect is installed along with MBUX infotainment system. Safety and assistance systems include Blind Spot Assist with Exit Warning, and PRE-SAFE System.

The Mercedes-Benz GLA 200 Progressive Line is RM244,193, while the Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 4matic AMG Line is RM285, 337.
