Second-gen Porsche Panamera facelift now in Malaysia, from RM1.027mil

Updated features in second-gen Porsche Panamera facelift include handling improvements, comfort and new, Porsche Connect

The new Porsche Panamera has launched in Malaysia with updates to the front and rear styling and interior features. Porsche Connect is now also available.

The previously optional Sport Design front is a new feature on the Panamera. The front bumper has a new ventilation grille and larger side air intakes. At the rear, a new full width light strip connects the two LED tail light clusters to form a single tail lamp across the boot line.

Sports tyres are now available for the Panamera. The new 20 and 21-inch tyres have softer rubber compound and optimised treads for lower rolling resistance and improved cornering.

There are also three new 20- and 21-inch rim designs, bring the total to 10 different designs including the Exclusive Design 21-inch alloy wheels.

The interior changes include the centre console and dashboard angles, a new analogue counter in the instrument cluster and a new sports steering wheel. The seats have also been upgraded with new eight-way adjustable electric comfort seats in front.

Porsche Connect has been introduced in the Panamera. Owners can access features and information about their Panamera and connect to the car remotely through a smartphone app.

The engine and transmission in the Panamera remains the same, a 2.9-litre V6 biturbo with an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Engine output is 325bhp with maximum torque of 450Nm. 0-100km/h takes 5.4 seconds to a top speed of 270km/h.

Standard features in the Panamera are

  • Lane Keeping Assist with road sign recognition
  • Night Vision Assist
  • Lane Change Assist
  • LED matrix headlights including PDLS Plus
  • Park Assist including Surround View
  • head-up display

The updated Porsche Panamera starts from RM 1,026,735* with SST exemption. More information at http://bit.ly/NewPanamera_MY.
