Proton previewed the e:Mas 7 EV to the media. The upcoming all-electric SUV is based on the Geely Galaxy E5 with more than one hundred Proton engineers working on the e:Mas 7 project to suit the needs of Malaysians and right-hand drive conditions.
The e:Mas 7 is the first of five models based on the Global Modular Architecture (GMA) platform and is a C-segment SUV. The length is 4615mm, the width is 1901mm with a height of 1670mm and a wheelbase of 2750mm. It features Cell-To-Body battery architecture, making the battery part of the body structure and boasts a 12-in-1 intelligent electric propulsion system.
The chassis for the e:Mas 7 has undergone testing over 700,000 manhours and 10 million kilometres. The new EV SUV will also feature Flyme Auto Connectivity System that integrates with the local IHU system to support various advanced functions for the consumer. There are also telematics services developed locally for the e:Mas 7.
There was no access to the interior of the Proton e:Mas 7.
