The Honda BR-V<\/a> has been officially launched in Malaysia after several previews and the order book was opened in December.The seven-seater two-wheel drive SUV comes in two trim levels both with a 1.5-litre, 120bhp, 145Nm engine paired with a CVT gearbox.<\/p>\n

The smallest SUV in Honda\u2019s line-up, the BR-V was specially developed for the ASEAN region by Honda R&D Asia-Pacific and is positioned as the crossover with the versatility of an MPV with class-leading features like biggest cargo space, highest engine capacity amongst its competitors and highest ground clearance, 201mm. The boot is 223-litres with the third row seats upright. Folded away into the floor, the cargo area grows to 539-litres. The seats can be configured in multiple combinations, with the second row seats folded away with the same one-touch tilt and tumble mechanism found in the Honda CR-V. The BR-V also has overhead air-conditioning vents for the rear two rows and 11 cupholders.<\/p>\n

Standard safety features provided are two airbags, three-point seatbelts on all seven seats, vehicle stability assist, ABS, electronic brake-force distribution, Hill-start assist and reverse sensors. The higher spec V variant also has a rearview camera. The BR-V has five-star ASEAN Ncap rating for Adult Occupant Protection while it scores four-stars for Child Occupant Protection.<\/p>\n

The V-spec also has smart entry with push-button start, 6.1\u201d display audio with smartphone mirroring, audio controls on the steering wheel, auto air-conditioning; leather upholstery, steering and gear knob.<\/p>\n

Three accessories packages are available to enhance the practicality of the car. The Utility Package priced at RM1,280 includes Door Visor, Cargo Tray, Trunk Organisers, Sun Shade and Door Protector Film. The Urban Package includes Tailgate Spoiler, Running Board and Side Step Garnish and is priced at RM2,945. The Modulo Package is priced at RM3,750 and the offerings are front and rear Lower Garnish as well as side under and Tailgate Spoilers.

The BR-V is available in five colours, Taffeta White, Golden Brown Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic and Dark Ruby Red Pearl.<\/p>\n
