The saloon from MG enters a highly competitive segment which includes the Proton S70, Toyota Vios and Honda City, all of which have 1.5-litre engines of various outputs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the MG5, the four-cylinder 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated engine produces 112bhp and 150Nm of torque and is paired with an eight-speed CVT gearbox. The alloy rims are 17-inches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Safety features include <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>360\u00ba view camera<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>six airbags<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>lane departure warning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>cornering brake control<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>blind spot detection<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>lane change assist<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>rear cross traffic alert<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>rear collision warning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ABS brakes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>emergency brakeforce distribution<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>electronic brake assist<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>traction control<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>stability control<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>electronic differential system<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>hill-start assist<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>electronic stability programme<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Exterior features on the MG5 include<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>automatic LED headlights with daytime running lights<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>LED tail lights<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>rear foglights<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Entry is keyless and there is push start ignition. Inside, there is black upholstery with red accents. The driver&#8217;s seat is six-way electrically adjustable with manual lumbar support. The multi-function steering wheel is leather-wrapped. the digital instrument cluster has a seven-inch display. Air-conditioning is single zone with air-vents at the rear. There is a PM 2.5 air filter system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For infotainment, the monitor is 10.25-inch with six speakers, three USB points and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MG5 is RM93,900 on-the-road without insurance but MG is giving a special introductory price of RM86,900, on-the-road without insurance.
