It consists of YouTube videos that recognise everyday unsung heroes and aims to promote positivity in the community.\u00a0 The videos were launched in conjunction with the International Day of Living Together in Peace. We.R.Wira season one consists of 10 episodes, each between seven to 13 minutes in duration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We.R.Wira was conceptualised and created out of our hope for a peaceful and united country that will ensure a bright future for generations to come.\u00a0 Our inspiration has been the countless heart-warming acts of compassion and selflessness by Malaysians, particularly during the Covid-19 lockdowns and during the flooding in Taman Sri Muda, Shah Alam in December 2021,\u201d explained Centriq PR Managing Director, Jacqueline Arnold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We.R.Wira season one commenced on 16 May 2023 with two episodes. There will be an episode every alternate week. The final episode of season one on 30 August is in conjunction with Merdeka Day.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Season one features: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>efforts and advocacy for healthcare for marginalised communities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>zero waste and upcycling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>mental wellbeing support<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>autism awareness<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>empowering persons with disabilities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>body acceptance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>education for refugee children<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>nation building.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to spreading positivity, We.R.Wira is about recognising everyday unsung heroes; people who are making an impact in the community by championing causes and issues and helping others without reward and sometimes, even without thanks. The series, once uploaded on YouTube, will be easily accessible, and will serve as a resource to those who may be looking for support. Individuals or groups facing particular issues or challenges will be able find counterparts to reach out to, or even to seek their expertise in setting up other similar community initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the We.R.Wira exposure, we hope the featured initiatives will gain more support either in the form of volunteers, sponsors, collaborations, or donations. Ultimately, this series aims to draw attention to the fact that the<em> Rakyat<\/em> generally help each other without any regard as to race or religion.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cBy featuring the efforts of everyday ordinary people, We.R.Wira further aims to inspire and motivate the <em>Rakyat<\/em> that every single person has the potential to help others; to be someone\u2019s hero. The title, We.R.Wira,<strong> <\/strong>suggests that each and every one of us has the potential to be a hero,\u201d Arnold said.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Director of Yayasan TM, Puan Ainol Shaharina Binti Sahar, also attended the launch. In her speech, she said,\u00a0\u201cAs a purpose driven social impact-based foundation, Yayasan TM is committed to the development of the arts, creative ventures and culture through many community-based programmes at Muzium Telekom Kuala Lumpur and Telegraph Museum Taiping. We are so proud that four of our TEMU Weekends initiatives at our museums, from social enterprises and non-profit organisations, are part of We.R.Wira! The unsung heroes who make an impact on our lives by helping others are a fascinating part of our nation&#8217;s building, and we should not fail to recognise their efforts\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIn the course of work, we meet so many people, from all walks of life. We see so many examples of the <em>Rakyat <\/em>united in their causes and hardships, forming support groups to help each other. This is truly Malaysia.\u00a0 We hope that We.R.Wira will help all Malaysians realise that our diversity is our strength.
