The R Performance-inspired Volkswagen Passat R-Line has sportier looks than the Passat Elegance<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

The Volkswagen Passat R-Line is now in Malaysia. The 2.0-litre engine produces 187bhp and 320Nm. The transmission is a seven speed wet-clutch dual-clutch. The exterior and interior trim inspired by the R performance models.<\/p>\n

The R-Line accessories include new R-Line front and rear bumpers, side R-Line badge, chrome trims and 19-inch Verona alloy wheels. Inside, there is R-Line trim on the Nappa carbon-style black leather seats, steering wheel and aluminium sports pedals, and black roof headliner.<\/p>\n

The headlight system is LED. There are front and rear sequential turn signals and a three-wing taillight design. The Tyre Pressure Monitoring System monitors individual tyres pressure. There is also manoeuvre braking that automatically applies brakes to prevent collision when it senses an object at speeds of up to 10kmph.<\/p>\n

Safety features in the Volkswagen Passat R-Line include Rear Cross Traffic Alert with 180-degree detection range of up to 50 metres; and Side Assist which helps detect objects in blind spot areas of up to 70 metres with 110-degree detection range while the vehicle is in motion. There is also Electronic Differential Lock (XDS) system to improve traction and reduce understeer.<\/p>\n

Other safety features are Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Brake Assist (BA), Intelligent Crash Response System (ICRS) as well as Hill-hold Control, Automatic Post-Collision Braking System and Proactive Passenger Protection System.<\/p>\n

In addition, there is Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) and Driving Mode Selection that allows for the driver to customise and select up to 15 driving style preferences and customise the handling besides the standard Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport and Individual settings.<\/p>\n

There are also features like a customisable 11.7-inch digital cockpit, 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment monitor with navigation, voice control, gesture control and also a customisable three-view split screen. <\/span><\/p>\n

Wireless App-Connect Apple Car Play is available as well as Android Auto, Mirrorlink via Type C USB. The ErgoComfort front seats are 14-way and upholstered in Nappa carbon-style black leather. The driver’s seat also has massage and memory function. <\/span>The driver can personalise cabin ambience from a choice of 30 colours. The c<\/span>abin ambient lighting is also reflected in the infotainment system and digital cockpit.<\/p>\n

A complimentary Helix 300W Soundbar worth RM2,400 is in the Passat. The soundbar is a 5-channel amplifier with an integrated sound processor and subwoofer. It is a Volkswagen Approved Accessory, manufactured by German hi-fi audio specialist, HELIX and is installed in the 586-litre boot.<\/p>\n

Six colours are available. Metallic: Aquamarine Blue, Tamarind Brown, Manganese Grey and Reflex Silver. Pearl-effect, at no additional charge, Deep Black and Oryx White.<\/p>\n
