Porsche has launched the third-gen Cayenne GTS, featuring the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo engine albeit weaker than the Turbo version.<\/em><\/h4>\n

Porsche Asia Pacific has launched the 2020 Cayenne GTS SUV in both 5-door SUV and SUV Coupe guises. As the title suggests, the new GTS returns to V8 power with the same 4.0-litre (3,996 cc) twin-turbo V8 from the range-topping Porsche<\/a> Cayenne Turbo and Turbo S E-Hybrid which gains an additional 20 bhp and 60 Nm more than the predecessor’s twin-turbo 3.6-litre V6 engine. If you think about it, going back from 6- to 8-cylinders with 300cc more does sound like a sensible upgrade.<\/p>\n

Moreover, the performance figures reflect the changes done; the new Cayenne GTS does 0.6 seconds quicker (4.5 seconds) from 0 – 100 km\/h than the predecessor with the Sports Chrono Package, while the top speed has increased by eight km\/h. The V8 is paired with Tiptronic S eight-speed automatic transmission.<\/p>\n

With a V8 engine, the exhaust note should come second to none. the Cayenne GTS Coup\u00e9 comes fitted as standard with two centrally positioned oval tailpipes exclusively. Porsche says that the exhaust system is designed “to produce a rich, sporty sound with a unique character” and will be featured on the Cayenne Turbo Coup\u00e9 in the near future.<\/p>\n

In addition, the\u00a0 GTS comes with adaptive cylinder deactivation, direct petrol injection with a central injector position, and an “intelligently designed” thermal management system. Fuel consumption wise, the GTS consumes 11.4 to 11.2 l\/100 km (NEDC combined cycle).<\/p>\n

Straight out from the box, new Cayenne GTS models come with lowered standard steel-springs and paired with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), which the GTS Cayennes stand 20 millimetres lower. In addition, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) is fitted as standard.<\/p>\n

The wheels fitted on the GTS Cayennes are 21-inch RS Spyder Design wheels. And the large cast-iron brakes (390 x 38 mm at the front, 358 x 28 mm at the rear) and red brake callipers are standard equipment.<\/p>\n

Optional extras are also available to the GTS in the braking department. These include the Porsche Surface Coated Brake (PSCB) with tungsten carbide coating which makes cleaning the wheels much less of a hassle with the performance close to that of a ceramic brake. And for more track-oriented driving, the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake with the signature yellow brake callipers (PCCB) should come in handy with wider and higher operating temperatures.<\/p>\n

Other than that, further options are available as well, which includes 10 mm-lower three-chamber air suspension, rear-axle steering and the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) active roll stabilisation system.<\/p>\n

Drivers and passengers will get to see and feel the Alcantara roof lining, seat centre panels, centre console armrests and doors, as well as the dark-brushed aluminium trimmings. For the front occupants, the Cayenne GTS will come with eight-way sports seats as standard featuring taller side bolsters for improved lateral support.<\/p>\n

And to remind owners that they are in a Cayenne GTS, the GTS logos are placed throughout the cabin. These can be found on the front doors, door entry sills, rev counter and head restraints. Moreover, personalisation options are available which include the GTS interior package with decorative stitching in Carmine Red or Crayon.<\/p>\n

Prices for the Porsche Cayenne GTS<\/a> starts at SGD 520,388 and the GTS Coupe starts at 533,788.<\/p>\n
