MINI Malaysia has launched the second generation of the Mini Cooper Countryman<\/a> Sports Activity Vehicle, available in two variants, the 1.5-litre Mini Cooper Countryman and the 2.0-litre Mini Cooper S Countryman, both front-wheel drive only.<\/p>\n

The SAV\u00a0is the best-selling Mini variant after the three-door Mini Cooper hatchback. In its first year of production, the Countryman outsold the Coup\u00e9, Clubman and Convertible combined.<\/p>\n

The all-new Mini Cooper Countryman has a three-cylinder, twin-scroll turbocharged 1.5-litre engine and a six-speed automatic gearbox. This enables the car to deliver a maximum of 136bhp and 220Nm of torque with a 0-100km\/h time of 9.6 seconds and top speed of 200km\/h.<\/p>\n

The all-new Mini Cooper S Countryman has a four-cylinder, twin-scroll turbocharged 2.0-litre engine. Paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, the 0-100km\/h time is 7.4 seconds as it produces a maximum output of 192bhp and 280Nm of torque and a top speed of 224km\/h.<\/p>\n

For those who considered the first generation crossover\u00a0large, the latest incarnation redefines the meaning of mini all over again by being even bigger: an additional 200mm longer at 4299mm and 30mm wider at 1822mm. It\u2019s 1557mm tall and has a 2670mm wheelbase, an increase of 75mm.<\/p>\n

Newly introduced in the Countryman are LED headlights with Cornering Lights, cruise control with braking function, rear view camera, automatic tailgate( with a foot-activated sensor under the rear bumper) and a pair of event seats in the 450-litre cargo area.<\/p>\n

Externally, the Mini Cooper S Countryman can be differentiated from the base Countryman by the ALL4 Bodykit and Piano Black bumper elements and 19\u201d light alloy wheels. Inside, the electrically adjustable seats are upholstered in leather, there is a John Cooper Works leather steering wheel and flappy paddles.<\/p>\n

Safety features are standard in both variants with six airbags, ABS, Brake Assist, conering brake control, electronic brake-force distribution and dynamic braking lights, traction control, stability control and hill-start assist, ISOFIX child seats, rear view camera and run-flat tyres and flat tyre indicator.<\/p>\n

The All-New Mini Cooper Countryman is available in two new paint finishes, Chestnut and Island Blue. Other colours offered are British Racing Green, Chili Red, Light White, Melting Silver, Midnight Black, and Moonwalk Grey. The Thunder Grey scheme is available exclusively on the Mini Cooper S Countryman.<\/p>\n

The Mini Cooper Countryman is RM239,888.00 on-the-road without insurance while the Mini Cooper S Countryman is RM269,888.00, also on-the-road without insurance. Both cars are fully imported. They have four years unlimited mileage warranty with free scheduled service for four years or 60,000km, whichever comes first.<\/p>\n
