Special Edition 718 Caymans are limited to just 15 units, five in each colour

Sime Darby Auto Performance has launched 15 units of 718 Caymans specced up exclusively for the Malaysian market. Available in three colours, Racing Yellow, Guards Red and Carrara  White Metallic, there are just five units in each colour.

Acceleration from 0-100km/h is under four seconds, powered by the two-litre, 300bhp and 380Nm-producing engine in the entry-level standard Cayman, with Sport Chrono Package and seven-speed PDK gearbox. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), which lowers the body of the Cayman by 10mm for improved handling, is also standard.

The SportDesign Series Caymans have additional accessories fitted as standard. On the outside, these include front and rear bumper bodykit, black door accents on the door handles, black tailpipes, LED main headlights including Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS+) and 20-inch wheels in a choice of two styles: Carrera S or Carrera Sport Wheel design.

In the black leather interior of the SportDesign Series Caymans are 14-way power seats and a 505 watt, 10-speaker Bose Surround System.

The 718 Cayman SportDesign Series is priced at RM625,000. It comes with a four-year warranty and free maintenance package. The stated price includes all applicable duties, except registration fee, road tax and insurance.
