Petron’s RM240,000 Hypermarket Sweep

Petron Malaysia began their 2017 their Hypermarket Sweep Challenge with the first sweep race held at Giant Hypermarket Shah Alam Stadium.

Eight grand prize winners were given two trolleys each to fill them with groceries worth up to RM5000 within five minutes, with help from their families. There were also eight consolation prize winners who, with their families, were given four minutes to fill their two trolleys with up to RM3000 worth of groceries.

Petron’s Hypermarket Sweep Challenge will also be held in Johor Bahru, Penang, Kuantan and Kota Kinabalu. There will be a total of 56 winners with RM240,000 worth of prizes.

Petron’s Hypermarket Sweep contest was first launched in 2015 with RM50,000 worth of prizes given away. In 2016, Petron ran its second season, tripling the prizes to RM140,000 and rewarded 40 customers at four locations in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor and Kota Kinabalu.

This year, 2017, the shopping sweep delight was also shared with two orphanages homes, Pusat Jagaan Cahaya Kasih Bestari and Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-kanak Cornerstone with each home receiving RM2,500 worth of groceries.
