Petronas launches new formulation Euro 5 Diesel

New formulation Dynamic Diesel Euro 5 with Pro-Drive is a sulphur-free diesel developed in partnership with Iveco.

Iveco, the Italian industrial vehicle manufacturing company and Petronas worked together to formulate the fuel for the Petronas De Rooy Iveco Team competing in the Dakar Rally, known as the world’s toughest and most demanding off-road endurance race. The team won the 2016 edition.

The fuel technology derived from the partnership  has since gone into Petronas Dynamic Diesel Euro 5 with Pro-Drive.

In comparison to other diesel fuels in the market, test results showed that Petronas Dynamic Diesel Euro 5 with Pro-Drive recorded a higher cetane number which improves combustion for a smoother drive, cleaner emissions and a quieter engine. In addition, there was a higher heating value indicating more energy per kilogramme of fuel which should equate to better fuel economy.

Petronas Dynamic Diesel Euro 5 with Pro-Drive is aimed at providing three key benefits:
