Order books open for 2020 Toyota Hilux

2020 Toyota Hilux has refreshed appearance, additional safety equipment and performance upgrades

The order books for the 2020 Toyota Hilux have opened. There is a new variant, a Double Cab 2.4 E A/T and changes to the line-up:

• New Double Cab 2.8 Rogue A/T replaces the current Double Cab 2.8 Black Edition
• New Double Cab 2.4 V A/T replaces the current Double Cab 2.4 L-Edition.
• Unchanged are the manual transmission variants: Double 2.4 G and Single Cab 2.4

In the 2020 Toyota Hilux, the new flagship is the Hilux Double Cab 2.8 Rogue which has a new bonnet moulding and skidplate. The Double Cab 2.8 Rogue also comes with new interior trim design, new meter design, new illuminated door trim garnish and a new key cover design.

The base variants get new designs for the 17-inch and 18-inch alloy wheels. They also get a new meter design with additional information on the Multi Information Display (MID).

The output of the 2.8-litre turbodiesel engine has been increased. Maximum power is now 201bhp, an increased of 27bhp, at 3400rpm. Maximum torque has increased by 50Nm to 500Nm between 1600-2800rpm. Fuel consumption remains unchanged due to engineering updates: two-stage oil pump, water-cooled pre-exhaust gas recirculation cooler and improved power-steering system. Auto Limited Slip Differential is new.

Toyota Safety Sense with Pre-Collision System (PCS), Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), with Yaw Assist is now available.

Estimated prices for the new Hilux range start from RM93,880. The estimated price of the For Hilux 2.8 Rogue is RM148,880. However, there is an Early Bird Special Price of RM144,880 for the Toyota Hilux D/CAB 2.8 Rouge AT 4×4 (for sales in 2020).
