New BMW X1 sDrive18i debuts in Malaysia

New BMW X1 sDrive18i joins X1 sDrive20i in X1 compact SUV line-up

Alongside the launch of the all-new BMW M135i xDrive, BMW Malaysia also launched the new BMW X1 sDrive18i. This follows the introduction of the X1 sDrive20i M Sport midlife refresh earlier this year.

The sDrive18i has a three-cylinder 1.5-litre engine and seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Output is 140bhp. Torque peaks at 220Nm while top speed is 201km/h, reaching the first 100km/h in 9.6 seconds.

Standard exterior features include LED headlights, front LED fog lights, satin-finish aluminium roof rails and exterior trim, with new 17-inch light alloy wheels in V-spoke style 560.

Inside, there are interior trim finishers in black high-gloss and highlight trim finishers in Pearl Chrome, along with Leather Dakota upholstery, a sport leather steering wheel, electrically-adjustable front seats, two-zone automatic air conditioning and the BMW grey headliner.

Boot capacity is 505litres, expandable to 1550 litre, accessed via an automatic tailgate with contactless opening and closing.

The infotainment system is displayed on an 8.8-inch display operated by iDrive as well as touch and voice control.

Driver assistance features in BMW Personal CoPilot include Lane Departure Warning, Frontal Collision Warning with braking intervention and High-beam Assistant. The speed limit for the road is also displayed.

Four exterior colours are available with black Leather Dakota upholstery. The new BMW X1 sDrive18i is RM 208,368.48.
