Mitsubishi Triton Athlete

A new variant of the Mitsubishi Triton joins the 4×4 pick-up truck line up from Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM), the official distributor of Mitsubishi vehicles in Malaysia, the Triton Athlete.

Only available in Black Mica, the Triton Athlete is made for ‘Everyday Athletes’ and has been styled with distinctive looks: new front bumper garnish, new black grille with honeycomb mesh, new black 17” alloy wheels, new sports bar and dark grey and orange decal. Other highlights in black include side step, door mirror, door handle, rear bumper and a new tailgate spoiler.

The Triton Athlete also comes with a new infotainment system with Apple Carplay. The Black Monotone interior features perforated orange leather combination seats with ‘ATHLETE’ embroidered on the backrest and matching orange stitching that is also on the leather steering wheel, leather gear knob, door trim and centre console.

The engine and gearbox combination remain as per the Mitsubishi Triton range: a 2.4-litre turbodiesel engine with a six-speed gearbox that produces 178bhp of power and 430 Nm of torque.

The Triton Athlete is equipped with seven SRS airbags, Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Active Stability with Traction Control, Hill-Start Assist (HSA), Trailer Stability Assists (TSA) and Brake Override System. The 4WD truck costs RM126,990.00 on-the-road without insurance and comes with a five year or 200,000km warranty
